George's Expanded Universe Books. Lucas from Star War.

Lets start by the beginning

Who was the first to write a Star Wars novel?

Nevertheless …

The Star Wars book came out in 1976 at Christmas, six months before the film, with which it was possible to have all science fiction fans pending the billboard.

It's basically the original script for the movie with some deleted scenes that look really good in a book like a lot of Biggs (Luke's Friend) stuff before he leaves Tatooine. ( Masterpiece )

This is so because it was a condition imposed by Fox.

Even so ... the first very first thing was the Star Wars Script. ( A new hope )

Inside the expanded Star Wars Universe there are over 200 books !!! and yet there are only two or three written by Lucas (Although he is in charge of giving the approval of them)

Here we leave you the list of them in chronological order.

I would like to add that the Star Wars authors and books were created based on the movies, so the first books (70s, 80s and 90s) were based on the first Star Wars trilogy that dealt with events between the movies or during the future of the same, but never on events prior to them.

The "StarWars past" was explored by the literature and authors when G.Lucas released the movie "The Phantom Menace" in 1999 thus giving the authors the freedom and the possibility to explore the past of the first StarWars trilogy with new stories and adventures.

What a mess huh?
